Title 1/ Family Center

Beaver Ridge Elementary is a Title I school. The goal of our Title I Program is to ensure every child is able to learn and perform at levels that meet or exceed the state academic standards.

Title I, Part A of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act of 1965, as amended by the Every Student Succeeds Act of 2015, provides funding to school districts to help ensure that all children, particularly those who are most academically at-risk, meet challenging state academic standards.  Schools participating in the Title I program receive funds based on the percentage of students qualifying for free or reduced-price school meals.

Title I programs are designed to ensure:

  • high standards for all students,
  • increase quality instructional time,
  • improve instruction through professional development,
  • enhance family participation in the educational process,
  • expand educational resources, and
  • strengthen accountability.

Technology Tools for Parents

What tools does GCPS provide for parents?

Each of these tools is available through a website or through a mobile app. For each tool, you must log in on the website in a web browser before you will be able to log in using the mobile app. You can also link to ParentSquare and MyPaymentsPlus through ParentVUE.

  • ParentVUE is Gwinnett's parent portal. View grades, attendance, test scores, and more, and find links to our other tools. Your username is the email you used when registering your child.

  • ParentSquare is Gwinnett's communication tool. Choose how you'd like to receive communication, read messages from the teacher, school, and district, and communicate with staff at your child's school, all with two-way translation.

  • Use MyPaymentsPlus to maintain your child's school meal account. Check balances, set up alerts and auto-pay, and add funds, all in one convenient place. You will create a MyPaymentsPlus account the first time you use it and add your child using the student ID number.

Right to Know Statement

Parents have the right to request information about the degree and qualifications of their child's teacher(s) and paraprofessional(s), if applicable.  Please refer to the GCPS Student-Parent Handbook or contact your school's principal for more information.
